A charming pair of miniature Rosenthal porcelain birds associated with the documented Bahnhof-Selb “Tiny Parrot”, model 158, a design introduced in 1923.

The decorated example retains a vivid purple pedestal with gilt accents and bears an impressed model number 158. Its companion is a white-glazed version with a matching Rosenthal Bavaria factory mark but no visible model number. Documented model 158 examples are known both with and without an impressed number, and the form was produced in several closely related sizes and decorative treatments.

The pair is offered together because the two pieces make a particularly appealing contrast: the same tiny Rosenthal bird form expressed in richly decorated purple and gilt beside a restrained white-glazed version. The purple example weighs 8.1 g and the white example 7.6 g, for a combined weight of 15.7 g. The measured example is approximately 3.5 cm high.

Condition: the purple example shows normal age-related wear to its gilt and painted decoration. The white example presents with a uniform glossy white glaze. No obvious major crack or repair is visible; please inspect all images carefully.
